Reindeer Sledding and Sami Culture
Enjoy a 10 to 15-minute sleigh ride (or optional 25 minutes) as the reindeer guide you around the valley and along the coast. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to feed 300 of these magnificent animals before entering the gamme for a hot traditional meal cooked over the fire. Finish the day by gathering around the fire to listen to Sami history, stories and joiking (songs).
1PM tours only run on selected dates during the season

- Our guides wear blue jackets with the Tromso Arctic Reindeer logo on them. Our guides will bring the guests to the correct bus.

Pick-up at the bus terminal at Tromsø Havn Prostneset, (Samuel Arnesens gate 5, 9008, Tromsø) - Google maps link
The meeting time in the city center is always 20 minutes before tour start time.
For guests booked on our morning tour, pick-up time is 10am. Please meet 09.40
For guests booked on our afternoon tour, pick-up time is 1pm. Please meet 12.40
It takes 25min to drive to Reindeer Camp
Feeding of wild Reindeer
Guests can test lasso throwing (but not on real reindeer)
A reindeer sledding ride
Hot drinks (tea, coffee, hot chocolate) around the fire inside a warm candle lit gamme (Traditional Sami Hut)
Warm lunch of bidos (a traditional Sami soup) with more hot drinks and cookies (vegetarian option possible)
Storytelling of Sami Culture
A joik performance (traditional Sami folk song)
25 min bus ride back to Tromsø City Centre.
Back in Tromsø at around 2pm
Please note that it is two different camps, one for the sledding and one without, so if the sledding is not available it could still be possible to go on the tour without sledding - Or the opposite

Magic Tromsø will not be held liable for any last-minute
cancellation/change made by the tour provider. For cancellation and
change requests, please contact the company directly. Details are
provided in the confirmation email.
The 24 h cancellation policy doesn't apply unless the provider is contacted directly.
