In this tour you will go chasing lights the whole time. This means that if the sky is cloudy, we will move from place to place until we find a clear spot to see the Aurora. We may take you all the way to Finland.
A guide will be sharing facts about the Aurora Borealis and photography. You will understand how to take photos of the Northern Lights with your camera or phone.

  • Group size: 2 to 48 guests on a comfortable bus with heating and toilet*

  • Help to photograph the Northern Lights with your phone or camera.

  • Professional aurora portrait (optional for an additionell fee from 290 NOK per photo)

*IMPORTANT INFO:

  • * If the group size is smaller than 17 people, the tour may be carried on a vehicle without toilet onboard.

  • Please provide the age and weight of children so we can provide the correct child seat in the bus. The drive can refuse you to go onboard if you just inform us on the day of departure.

  • The tour can be canceled due to bad weather and you will be offered to change your tour to another day or get a refund.

  • You cannot claim a refund if you do not show at the time of the departure.

  • We can team up with one of our partners that run a similar tour, in order to guarantee our departures. If that happens, we will inform you of a possible new pickup place.

  • It can be slippery on the places where we wait for the northern lights.

  • We often see the northern lights, even in very cloudy, rainy or snowy nights. Therefore we run the tours regardless of the weather conditions.

  • The tour can be canceled due to extreme bad weather or when driving conditions are unsafe. If this happens, you will be offered to change your tour to another day or get a full refund.

  • The tour may stay in one location all night or travel to various spots, the priority is always to get the best views of the lights.

Notes & Restrictions

Child Safety: If you have a child with you, please provide the age and weight of child so that we can provide the correct child seat for the bus. You can be refused to travel if you don't have the correct child seat.

PHOTOS & VIDEO - By booking with us you agree that:

  1. NorthernShots Tours AS will own full copyrights of any photo taken by us during our tours.

  2. We will upload photos of you to a third party web platform and monetize on the photos.

  3. We might publish video footages of you.

  4. If you do not wish any photo of you to be published nor taken, please inform us, as well as your guide, before the tour and do not pose for our photographers.

TICKETS - By booking with us you agree that:

  1. If you book 48h before departure, your ticket is non refundable.

  2. IF YOU WANT TO JOIN again, using the 50% discount or your PASS, YOU MUST CHECK-IN BEFORE 13:00 (1PM) and this will depend on availability. If there is no availability on the day you wish to try again, then we will book you on the next available day. If you cannot make it on another date, no refunds can be requested.

  3. From the moment that you reserve your seats, it is no longer possible to cancel the reservation.

  4. If you reserve a seat and do not show up at the departure, your PASS or discount voucher expires.

TOURS - By booking with us you agree that:

  1. During the excursion, you are likely to find slippery, dark and cold conditions outside.

  2. The northern lights are a natural phenomenon and, as such, their sighting cannot be guaranteed.

  3. You are covered by our bus insurance only when inside the bus, in case of an accident.

  4. You are supposed to carry your own Travel Insurance, to cover whatever incident should occur outside the bus.

  5. You must use the seat belt in the bus at all time.

  6. We are not responsible for your camera and personal belongings.

  7. We may delay the departure time.

  8. We may cancel the tour and refund you.

  9. By agreeing to this, you cannot sue NorthernShots Tours AS.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation or changes are only considered when sent to: tours@northernshots.com
Reservation and Cancellation Policies (will show up on the bottom of all your itineraries):
FULL REFUND if you cancel your reservation before:
48 hour for individual bookings except if your trip is between: Dec. 22nd and Jan 2nd.
4 days for individual bookings during high season: Dec. 22nd and Jan 2nd.
7 days for groups and/or private tours.
14days for tailor made tours or tours that include partner activities.

Cancellations, Delays or major changes, may occur anytime due to:
- the weather conditions.in the arctic.
- a minimum number of participants.
If we decide to cancel, we always "try" to offer an alternative, but if this is not accepted we will make a full refund of the booking.
- Alcoholic drinks are not allowed on our tours. We reserve the right to ban anyone who are noticeably under the influence of alcohol.
We do not cover any change/cancellation/refunds due to the impact of the arctic weather on our operations, or accidents when outside the bus, illness, flight cancellation, etc. This should be managed through the guests' travel insurance.

Refunds
- In case of refund the money is returned primarily in the same way that was paid.

NorthernShots Tours shall not be liable for any circunstance caused by Force Majeure events such as snow storms, icy roads, avalanches strikes, lockdowns, pandemics, collisions, delays on trains, ferries, busses, planes. accidents on our tours, fire and damage on the vehicles.
We accept no responsibility or liability of war, terrorism, diseases or any conditions beyond our control.
